Insight exists to be of service to the whole community regardless of religious, social or ethnic background. As we are a charity and have no government funding we do rely on donations to continue the work. All the counsellors are volunteers but we necessarily have overheads, which need to be paid for.

We ask clients to pay a one-off non-refundable administration fee to secure a place on our waiting list. Once a counsellor has been allocated to you they will then discuss a weekly donation with you that you can afford.

The cost of providing each counselling session is about £16 (on average it costs about £45 per session with a private counsellor). If you or your partner are in a well-paid job you may be able to meet the full cost, but of course we realise we are all in different circumstances and that not everyone can afford that. The following guidelines may help you decide how much you can give.

We are grateful for every donation, however small, as we and the people we meet really want Insight to continue. Donation envelopes are available from your counsellor. Please return them to your counsellor. Tax Payers may also like to complete a Gift Aid Form, so that INSIGHT can reclaim extra money from the Tax Office. Thank you for your understanding.
